Folksonomies or Social Web Resources

Folksonomies are user-driven collections of information which are spreading across the World Wide Web.

They offer users the chance to add content to websites, both written content as in blogs, and images and web link collections. Users can then make their content available to other users and build online communities.

Folksonomies are rapidly growing and many of our students are already using them.
