Linux at Wesleyan

From Linux.org: "Linux is a free Unix-type operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds with the assistance of developers around the world. Developed under the GNU General Public License , the source code for Linux is freely available to everyone."

If you know Linux, then that was not news to you. If you don't know Linux, you might be asking, "What is UNIX?" UNIX is an operating system born in Bell Labs and in the words of Bell Labs, is an OS "of unusual simplicity, power, and elegance...".

Linux can run on either PCs, such as Dells, or on Macs.

Please Note: Wesleyan's CIR Department does not provide any support for LINUX at this time.
