Good, free software or freeware really does exist! If you've found yourself needing software but having no budget, consider the possibilities of freeware. If you'll let me know what you need the software to do, and I'll try to find it for you. Or if you know of some good freeware not on our list, please send the information to me so I can add it to our page.

Bob Delaney's Science Software
Bob Delaney taught physics at Saint Louis University for 44 years. He chaired the Department of Physics for ten years. Now retired, one of his pastimes is writing scientific software. Most of the programs are Mac, some are Mac and Windows. Most are free.
Croquet is a powerful open source software development environment for the creation and large-scale distributed deployment of multi-user virtual 3D applications and metaverses that are (1) persistent (2) deeply collaborative, (3) interconnected and (4) interoperable. The Croquet architecture supports synchronous communication, collaboration, resource sharing and computation among large numbers of users on multiple platforms and multiple devices.
