Date of Attending Wesleyan:  August 2003

         Class and year: GH, Junior

        Major:  Communication (Interpersonal )

        Minor:  Spanish

        Language:  Spanish

Duration of studying language:  Since freshman year (high school)

Reason for studying that particular language: During high school, I realized that the world is rapidly becoming smaller, and it is becoming a vital skill to have the ability to communicate in another language, not just in leisure activities, but in business as well. I wished to get a head start learning Spanish so that I could further my success in corporate America.

Study abroad experience/place hope to visit:  Summer 2000- I spent three weeks in Cadiz, Spain, on a summer exchange  program with my high school. There, I took classes during the day, and excursions during the afternoon and evening. We also took excursions to Madrid, Grenada, Sevilla, and even Morocco, Africa! I would LOVE to visit Latin America, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, as well as revisiting Spain.

Future Goals:  First and foremost, my goal is to graduate from Wesleyan College!! By then, I hope to have secured a position preferably within my field, so that I may work my way up the corporate ladder. I hope the years that follow will allow me to visit other countries, and experience new people and places. Since my dream job is to work in public relations, my long term goal is to have my own firm, where I will have the ability to work with clients as I please on my own terms.

Clubs/Organizations:  Unfortunately, due to my class and work schedule, I did not join any organizations this year, but I have previously been involved with LINKS and AXIS.

Honor clubs:  Phi Sigma Iota (Spanish), Lambda Pi Eta (Communication)
