Have u ever wondered if there is a true meaning of Fun? Well you can find out at the French Club! The only club with diversity in fun!!!!
Salut tout le monde!
There will be a party held by the French
department. The party's goal is to give information about French
majors/minors, etc. Dr. Francis has asked us to think of ideas for the
party, and if anyone is interested in dancing, singing a song, putting on a
skit, feel free to talk to Dr. Francis.
However, I thought this party would be a great opportunity to have our
"Mardi Gras" Festival and use Jessica's idea of having a mask-making
contest, with prizes of beads, candy, and then something bigger for the best
mask. We could also have king cake. To show all the different francophone
countries, we could have different costumes/items/etc representative of that
country's Mardi Gras traditions. For example, we could make our own Vaval to
represent la Martinique.
Be thinking of ideas! I would like to have a meeting next week to get us
brainstorming, because this will be our first big project of the year and a
way to jumpstart other projects. Next week, we could meet on Wednesday or
Thursday in the afternoon or evening, or Friday in the afternoon. Email me
with what works best for you and I will try to find a time where we can get
the most people present.
Remember also to tell other French students who aren't in the club! They can
certainly help and lend ideas!
Betsy
