Research Interests: My primary research interests focus on French/Francophone Literatures, Theory and Cultural Studies. I concentrate on Post-Colonial Studies, Women and Gender Studies, Literatures of the African Diaspora and Film Studies. |
My gaze is gender empowerment in Postcolonial Francophone literatures, visual and performing arts. The works I analyze present representations of female characters whose bodies are violated by patriarchal societies and by women themselves, as these complex female characters try to overcome traditional and modern demands of male-centered cultures. |

My secondary research interests evolve around (French) Second Language Acquisition with a focus on Communicative and Cultural approaches, and Technology for Education. |
My work highlights the socio-political misplacements of the suffering-female-body, focusing on the primacy of female desires. |
